Disc golf is played much like golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, though, players use a flying disc or Frisbee®. The sport was formalized in the 1970s and shares with golf the object of completing each hole in the fewest strokes (or, in the case of disc golf, fewest throws).
Building a club is the beginning step to hosting our own disc golf community. Join here and we will be sending out more information on where our Rockdale county course will be, how you can support it and more important, when will you get to play!
The idea of disc golf is similar with the idea of golf. Instead of clubs and balls like in regular golf, the playing equipment of disc golf features a wide variety of plastic frisbees that come in many different shapes and weights. Disc golf target corresponds golf’s hole. The winner of a round of disc golf is the one who completed the course with the smallest amount of throws.
Hole sponsorship is one of the fastest ways to get our course built and playable. Your company, family or organization can sponsor a hole by paying for or giving to the building of a tee pad, designing a sign, and buying a basket.
